We believe that Artificial Intelligence has massive potential for good and will improve the efficiency of our work in the public sector, third sector and beyond, but that it needs to be deployed sensitively and with appropriate safeguards in place.
We strive to work with our partners to help them leverage our technologies to save time and money and to improve the way meetings and administration run across their organisation.
Our Approach
Scriba was born out of the education sector, and has been designed in close partnership with governance professionals and leaders from across schools and MATs.
We work closely with you to deploy and roll out our systems across your organisation. We’ve designed it to be easy-to-use and intuitive, but we know that with change comes questions and the need for support.

Our Team
Scriba was founded as a solution to the problem of finding the time and resource to support the many meetings that take place across schools and MATs.
A conversation at the school gates led to an initial pilot to see whether AI could help approach meetings more efficiently — doing the heavy lifting around transcription and minuting in a way that would free up time for staff.
On the strength of the results of the pilot programme, Scriba was born, bringing the power of AI to the service of organisations across the UK.

Our Name
‘Scriba’ — as you may have guessed — is Latin for clerk. But, just like the role itself, the word has more meaning than at first appears.
In the Roman Republic, the Scriba was much more than a note-taker. They were a highly respected individual drawn from the non-aristocratic ranks of society who had excellent knowledge of law, process and government. Several Scribae achieved great renown and influence.
We believe that the provenance of the name reflects the depth of the role — and it’s something we’re committed to upholding across the sector and beyond.
